Drivetrain.

It's getting very close to being dropped in. I've been waiting a few days for my flywheel bolts to come in from Nissan. In case anyone else would need to know, they are the same as '95-'98 240sx bolts, part number 12315-42L11. Those of which are holding down my JGY Customs 10.5 pound flywheel and JGY Customs 4 puck clutch kit, enclosed by a Z32 transmission mated to an RB26 bellhousing.

More misc!

A whole bunch of tiny things accomplished today, mostly vacuum lines and plugs. I installed the heat shields back on with new shiny hardware, along with the upper intake pipe. I removed the factory oil pressure sending unit for an Autometer setup for my gauge (I won't need the stock one for the car to run), along with tapping the upper water jacket for my Autometer temperature sensor.

Misc crap.

Not a whole lot of progress today. I covered the cam lobes with some boo-foo special cam lube and covered everything with oil before sealing it up with new valve cover gaskets. I put the throttle body back on with a new gasket and half-way put the heat shields on.

More gaskets!

Maintenance today... I replaced the drive belt and the shitty Autolite plugs in the engine for some NGK BKR7E's gapped to .035". I pulled the valve covers since they looked to be leaking, and to my surprise the valvetrain was as clean as I had thought it would be. I threw my valve covers in the parts washers at work and decided to clean them up a little bit.. So, I threw a few coats of Ricer Red paint on them. I had the full intention of just being lazy and replacing only the rear main seal, but ended up doing the rear main cover and oil pan gasket too. Not too many odds and ends left to do before I bolt up the JGY light weight flywheel and 4 puck clutch kit, with a Z32 transmission mated to an RB26 bell housing.

Live and Learn.

A lot of guys on the forums have a lot of issues of the factory o2 housing rubbing the steering shaft. I heard a local guy had heated his up and moved it in a bit to clear, so.. I get an oxy acetylene torch and ball peen hammer and start to do work. I guess cast iron is brittle under high heat and probably isn't meant to change form really hahahaha.

Disassembly begins.

I received my longblock today. It went from being really excited to a big let down. I had paid the company an extra $150.00 for a complete wiring harness, and it ended up being cut in multiple places. Along with that, I had been promised a starter over the phone and didn't receive it. I'm going to see if the harness is still usable and file a claim with them. Hopefully this thing will be on a stand soon and be disassembled with a few bolt-ons put on.

Sometimes, good things come to an end..

Due to having a shitty living situation, I'm going to sell off majority of my parts and put some sort of stock rb swap in the car.. Stock and reliable. Mostly maintenance and some bolt-ons before she goes in.

Decisions..

I ended up purchasing the new "hot shit" on the market or whatever you want to call it. The new Precision 39mm Wastegate that just recently came into production that is supposed to put Tial out of business, but I don't really believe that rumor. They are extremely competitively priced along with the Tials and come with much more hardware. These kits come with all 5 springs so you can play with different boost pressures, anywhere from 1.5 psi to 25.5 psi. I ended up going with the red and the green combo which should be good for 15 psi. I'm hoping to be anywhere from 350 to 390 rwhp, but we'll see how things go. Big updates should be coming soon.
